How this was measured
Based on automated audits of 102 local service business listings in 17 trades across 1 US state, collected between 2026-08-08 and 2026-09-02.
Businesses were identified from public business listings and audited automatically: the site was fetched and checked for a secure connection, mobile rendering, page speed, structured data, analytics, and whether any means of contact existed besides a phone number. Listings with no website at all are counted once, under that heading, and excluded from the on-site measures — a business with no site is not also a business missing a contact form.
Each figure reports its own denominator. A check that could not be completed for a given business is excluded from that figure rather than counted as a pass or a failure, so the denominators differ between rows. Rates computed from fewer than 100 assessed businesses are not published.
Sample covers 17 trades across AL. It is a sample of businesses that appeared in our prospecting searches, not a random sample of all US local businesses, and it should be read as describing that population.
